Pausing and Resuming Impact

You can pause all impact triggering at any time. This is useful for seasonal closures, budget planning, or any time you need a temporary break from creating impact.

How to pause impact

  1. Go to the Setup page in the 1ClickImpact app
  2. In the Trigger Mode section, select Pause
  3. Save your changes

Impact stops immediately. No further configuration is needed.

What happens when paused

When impact is paused:

  • No new impact is triggered — orders are processed normally in your store, but no trees are planted, ocean waste removed, etc.
  • Customer add-on products are also paused — customers cannot purchase extra impact while the app is paused
  • Widgets are hidden — impact widgets on your storefront are automatically hidden so customers don't see outdated or inactive impact messaging
  • Your settings are preserved — your budget, categories, and other configuration remain unchanged
  • Existing impact is not affected — everything already triggered continues to be tracked and displayed

How to resume impact

To start triggering impact again:

  1. Go to the Setup page in the 1ClickImpact app
  2. Select any trigger mode other than Pause (Per Order, Per Product, Customer Choice, or Fixed Monthly)
  3. Save your changes

Impact resumes immediately with your existing settings. Widgets reappear on your storefront automatically.

When to use pause

Common reasons to pause impact:

  • Seasonal closure — your store is temporarily closed
  • Budget review — you want to evaluate costs before continuing
  • Store maintenance — you're making major changes to your store
  • Testing — you want to process test orders without triggering real impact
