Tracking and Certificates

Every impact contribution made through 1ClickImpact is tracked through a complete lifecycle and generates a verifiable certificate. This page explains how tracking works and what certificates contain.

Tracking lifecycle

Each impact goes through four stages:

1. Initiated

The impact has been triggered by an order (or monthly schedule). The system has recorded the contribution and it is queued for processing.

2. Donation Received

The financial contribution has been received and confirmed. Funds are allocated to the appropriate impact partner.

3. Transferred to Partner

The contribution has been sent to the verified impact partner responsible for executing the action (planting the tree, removing the plastic, capturing the carbon, or distributing the donation).

4. Completed

The impact action has been executed and verified by the partner. The certificate is finalized with completion details.

Certificates

Every impact generates a certificate that serves as proof of contribution. Certificates include:

  • Impact type and quantity — What was done (e.g., 2 trees planted)
  • Date — When the impact was processed
  • Partner organization — The verified partner that executed the impact
  • Unique certificate ID — A unique identifier for verification
  • Shareable link — A URL that can be shared on social media or included in marketing

Certificates are accessible from:

Track modal

When you click on a tracking record in the dashboard, a detail modal opens with rich information:

  • Google Maps location — A map showing where the impact action took place (e.g., the reforestation site or ocean cleanup zone)
  • Partner information — Details about the organization that carried out the work
  • Video content — Videos from impact partners showing the work in action
  • Timeline — The full tracking lifecycle with dates for each stage

Food tree live planting sessions

Food tree impacts include a unique feature: live planting session links. When food trees are planted, the partner organization schedules live planting sessions that donors can watch. The certificate for food tree impacts includes a link to join or view the recorded planting session.

Using certificates in marketing

Impact certificates can be a powerful marketing tool. Consider:

  • Sharing certificate links in post-purchase follow-up emails
  • Including certificate images in social media posts
  • Adding a link to your impact profile on your store's footer or about page
  • Featuring cumulative impact stats using the Impact Counter widget
